CALS Human Resources Mission

As a member of the Dean's Administrative Services team, the Human Resources Office of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will assist and support the departments and units of the College in all aspects of employment and human relations management. The Office, using professional personnel practices, will proactively administer the College's employment and human resources services, as delegated by UW-Madison and the UW-System, and will advocate for the needs of the College, its departments and units, seeking change when necessary. The Office will provide human resources training and support career development of the employees within the College.

The Office is committed to supporting the instructional, research and public service mission and goals of the College through competent, consistent and equitable administration of the human resources functions. It will strive to be responsive to the specific requirements of individual departments, units and programs, while at the same time maintaining equity across the College.
