Overview of CALS Faculty Search Process



(After approval of authorization to recruit from CALS Dean or Executive Associate Dean)

  1. Selection of Search Committee
  2. Inform Executive Associate Dean of the composition of the committee.

  3. Prepare Position Vacancy Listing (PVL)- Resources

  4. Advertise and respond to applicants- UW Search Handbook, ch. 3

  5. Prepare for Evaluation of Candidates and Interview

  6. Prepare an Offer

  7. Appointment Letters:


  8. I-9 Verification


  9. Office for Equity and Diversity Forms
  10. To be completed after an Academic Staff or Faculty hire is made
