AICR will not issue a call for applications in the 2012-2013 academic year. The next call for applications will be announced in the fall of 2013.
Investigator Initiated Grants (IIGs) are awarded to researchers at not-for-profit universities, hospitals
or research centers. These grants are generally for a maximum of $150,000 for up to two years, plus 10% indirect costs, with a limit of $75,000 direct costs in any
one year. A limited number of special IIGs will be awarded for up to three years for a maximum of $225,000, plus 10% in indirect costs, with a limit of $75,000 direct
costs in any one year. These three-year grants will be awarded to support the start up of epidemiologic or intervention studies requiring additional time. Investigator
Initiated Grant applications may be revised once. Funded Investigator Initiated Grants are eligible to be renewed once.
