The Lupus Research Institute founded to support highly promising, idea-driven, novel approaches to discover the cause, improve treatment, and cure lupus – invites applications for financial support starting December 2010 for Novel Research Projects relevant to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Research applications will be judged principally on novelty of the hypotheses, scientific quality, strength of approach, relevance to lupus, and likelihood of success. Creativity will be valued. Rationale for the hypotheses proposed rather than amount of preliminary data will be emphasized.
