The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation seeks to further the development of scientific leadership in the field of environmental chemistry with a postdoctoral fellowship program. The award of $120,000 over two years is given to a principal investigator who submits a proposal judged to be exceptional, both in its potential for leading edge contributions to environmental science, and in the arrangements for the education of the Fellow. The Foundation's goal is to create the next generation of leaders in environmental chemistry. Thus successful applicants are expected to recruit excellent young Ph.D. graduates from the fields of physical, organic, inorganic, biological chemistry or associated fields in chemical engineering, and provide them with the highest caliber of research experience and broad education in environmental science. The Fellow need not have been previously trained in environmental chemistry.
