The National Council of Commercial Plant Breeders (NCCPB) has established an Award to be presented to a person who has made outstanding basic contributions to the advancement of plant breeding and genetics in the public sector. It is administered by the Council through its Awards Committee and Board of Directors.
The Award consists of a $1,500 check and an engraved plaque. It is presented at the American Seed Trade Association Corn & Sorghum and Soybean Conference in December.
Any person may make a nomination. The nominee will be considered for three (3) years without submission of a new nomination. Additional supporting information may be submitted the second or third year.
