The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is soliciting proposals to restore the habitats and water quality of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers and streams. The Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund will award more than $10 million in grants and technical assistance in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Program. Major funding for the Stewardship Fund comes from the Environmental Protection Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Forest Service and Altria. Through this Request for Proposals, NFWF will award at least $8.5 million in Implementation Grants, and will award technical assistance valued at approximately $1.5 million through a new Local Government Capacity Building Initiative.
