Historically, a Request for Beef Safety Research Proposals has been distributed by the NCBA Beef Safety Research Team on behalf of The Beef Checkoff. The proposals submitted were reviewed by a team and prioritized for funding. Due to drastic reductions in beef safety research funds for Fiscal Year 2010, an RFP will not be distributed this year. Safety staff members will work with researchers and industry to design and conduct several large, targeted research projects to address pressing safety challenges.
