As a component of the Grand Challenges: Vector-based Control of Transmission Discovery Research (VCTR) program, the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) is seeking innovative discovery projects to identify new chemical leads to fuel the development pathway for insecticides to control the mosquito vectors of malaria. Six million dollars in grant funding is available for this new grant program to discover chemical agents with novel mechanisms of action to kill mosquitoes.
