Microsoft seeks nominees who are advancing novel computing research with the potential of high impact and who demonstrate the likelihood of becoming thought leaders in their fields. Examples of research areas include, but are not limited to security, interdisciplinary research, scientific computing, bioinformatics, computational biology, software engineering, and other areas in which computing transforms the discipline and advances the state of the art. The Microsoft New Faculty Fellowship Program will award five cash gifts of $200,000.
