WERF is pleased to announce proposals are now being accepted under the Innovation and Research for Water Infrastructure for the 21st Century cooperative agreement. The research under this RFP (totaling more than $1 million) will generate the science and engineering to evaluate and/or demonstrate promising innovative technologies and techniques that will reduce the cost and improve the effectiveness of operation, maintenance, and replacement of aging and failing wastewater conveyance and treatment infrastructure. The research findings will assist utilities implement asset management programs, provide reliable service to their customers, and meet their Clean Water Act requirements. WERF’s partner in this effort is the Water Research Foundation. It will issue complementary RFPs to address the potable water side of infrastructure.
