The Graduate School is pleased to announce the competition for the Steenbock Professorship in Behavioral and Neural Sciences. This professorship, which is endowed through the generosity of Mrs. Evelyn Steenbock, is among the most prestigious and important professorships for the support of research on campus. The award provides flexible research funds in the amount of earnings on the principal held at UW Trust Funds annually for a period of ten years. Any person who is tenured or tenure-track faculty member in the Biological Sciences may be nominated. However, according to the terms of the professorship, the nominees may not hold an endowed professorship from another source. Nominations may be submitted by UW-Madison departments or by groups of at least three faculty members.
