- Based on enrollment, CALS is the third-largest college in UW-Madison, after the College of Letters and Sciences and the College of Engineering.
- CALS has more than 246 faculty who carry out its research, education and outreach missions. Some 150 CALS faculty and academic staff hold Cooperative Extension appointments, placing them in positions to work closely with county extension staff in delivering valuable information and advice to Wisconsin citizens, businesses and organizations.
- CALS operates 12 research stations located in every region of the state, comprising more than 6,500 acres of land devoted to on-field research. These farm operations make the College one of the largest agricultural operations in Wisconsin.
