CALS Research Station Visit Days

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences would like to welcome high school students to visit one of UW-Madison’s Agricultural research stations across the state. This is a way for prospective students to learn about both the 4-year undergraduate program and Farm and Industry Short Course programs at a location closer to home. There will be speakers from the Office of Admission and the Farm and Industry Short Course present the answer questions.

Research stations and Dates:

  1. Arlington — January 17, 2014
  2. Lancaster — February 28, 2014
  3. Marshfield — March 28, 2014

The Itinerary for the day is as follows:

  • 8:45AM: Drop off
  • 9:00 – 9:30am: Introductions and overview of the day
  • 9:30 – 10:15am: 1-hour tour of the facility/farm
  • 10:15 – 11:15am: Workshops to show the diversity of CALS
  • 11:15 – 12:15pm: Lunch with Presentation on UW-Madison Academic Offerings (Lunch will be provided by FISC)

  • 12:15 – 1:00pm: Student Panel/questions (CALS provided Ice Cream)
