Areas of Responsibilities
General Windows desktop PC hardware and software setup and support. Hardware
setup, configuration and problem troubleshooting including but not limited
to PCs, monitors, keyboards and mice, docking stations, external backup
drives, printers and other connected devices such as scanners, PDAs, or
cameras. Connectivity problems involving network or internet access, file server access, networked printers and wireless network access.
Software installation, configuration, updating, problem troubleshooting,
and general usage questions. Support Active Directory and WiscMail plus account password issues.
Referral of other computer-related questions to appropriate specialists
or campus resources.

System administrator for CALS webserver – account management and provisioning; perform needed patches & upgrades; security & access management; backup & restoration of files. Install and manage various server-based applications and languages such as WordPress, Blogger, PHP, MySQL. Responsible for all server hardware/software upgrades. Provide technology support to all CALS Administration Apple customers specifically in the Communications Program & Office of Dean & Director. Apply necessary application & OS patches and upgrades. Provide support for Smartphones. Educate users on new and existing technologies.
