More than 350 CALS alumni and friends gathered at the UW Field House on Sept. 6 to support student scholarships and WALSAA activities. More than $4,500 was raised to support the new Wisconsin Rural Youth Scholarship Initiative. Adding that to what’s been collected to other ongoing efforts, over $30,000 has been raised for the recently launched new scholarship initiative. In addition, WALSAA raised more than $8,000 in the silent auction and raffle. This figure will be matched by the UW-Foundation.

Any gift made to the Wisconsin Rural Youth Scholarship Fund will
be matched by the CALS Dean's office, dollar for dollar while
challenge funds last. No matter the size of your gift, the impact is
doubled when you support the Wisconsin Rural Youth Scholarship Fund.
