    Rhinelander Field Day

    Researchers will share updates on potato breeding research, plus the latest strategies for managing potato insects and diseases.

    The 2026 Rhinelander Field Day will feature a field wagon tour starting at 9:45 a.m., giving attendees a first-hand look at the station’s research in action. Expert speakers will share updates on UW–Madison potato breeding research—including the use of remote sensing technology—as well as the latest strategies for managing potato insects and plant pathology. The program will also include important updates from the Wisconsin Seed Potato Certification program and the Langlade Agricultural Research Station (LARS), alongside news on the station’s ongoing phytoremediation and pollinator projects. The day will conclude with lunch and refreshments, providing the opportunity for networking and community discussion.
