CAMPUSWIDE SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowships
    $3,000 for student research in collaboration with UW faculty/staff.  Students must have at least junior standing at the time of application, and plan to graduate in August 2017 or after. May 2017 graduates are not eligible. The Hilldale is open to all fields. The online application is available via Scholarships@UW-MadisonApplication deadline is February 17, 2017.
  • Holstrom Environmental Scholarships
    $3,000 for student environmental research in collaboration with UW faculty/staff.  Students must have at least junior standing at the time of application, and plan to graduate in August 2017 or after. May 2017 graduates are not eligible. The online application is available via Scholarships@UW-MadisonApplication deadline is February 17, 2017.
  • Sophomore Research Fellowship
    $2,500 for student research in collaboration with UW faculty/staff.  Must have sophomore standing to apply. The student researcher receives $2,500, and the faculty/staff research advisor receives $500 to help offset research costs (e.g., supplies, faculty or student travel related to the project). The online application is available via Scholarships@UW-MadisonApplication deadline is February 17, 2017.
  • University Book Store Academic Excellence Award
    $1,000 to undergraduate students who have distinguished themselves by completing outstanding projects, such as a senior thesis, at UW-Madison.  Students must be enrolled in a degree program during the 2016-17 academic year (December 2016 graduates may apply).  The online application is available via Scholarships@UW-MadisonApplication deadline is March 18, 2017.

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Beinecke
    Student must be nominated by UW-Madison and may not apply directly. $32,000 to fund a terminal graduate degree in the arts, humanities or social sciences.  Student must apply as a junior and must demonstrate financial need.   • Barry M. Goldwater
    $7,500 for undergraduates planning a research career in math, science, or engineering.  Students must apply as a sophomore or junior with a GPA ≥ 3.7 preferred.
