FFA is an amazing organization. How cool is it that you were able to feed 10,000 people in just an hour of work!! I lived in rural Minnesota for 3 years and spent a large amount of time with local farmers in the area. That’s where I first learned about FFA. Farming, especially for future farmers, is such a tough road and it’s awesome that there’s an organization out there like FFA that’s so broad and versatile, teaching not only farming and agriculture, but business development and leadership as well.

Most of the farmers that I know have unfortunately been forced out of business and have had to sell family farms that have been in their families for decades. Farming is such a tough road these days and any organization that supports it, as well as fighting hunger, is A OK in my book.

“19.7% of 2009 college graduates had a job right after they finished school.” I bet that statistic is even lower now. I’d be surprised if more than 15% of graduates fall right into a career from college. I wish I would have done an internship in college. Everyone said they were important but I just didn’t put enough effort into finding one

I like your tip number 5. Very difficult sometimes to not stress when you can’t find a job, but you’re right, stress doesn’t do any good.
