Election Process

The first election occurred in late 1998 for the rest of the 1998/99 and the 1999/00 academic year. Future elections are held in the spring for the next academic year's committee.

Dean's Appointees

The Dean has an opportunity to appoint 3 representatives to ensure diversity on the committee.

Routing Representatives

Elected representatives will serve staggered terms to ensure one third of the group is rotated off each year.

Appointed representatives will be appointed to stagger terms to ensure one-third of the group is rotated off each year. Mid-year vacancies will be filled by appointment by the Dean. No member can serve more than one consecutive term of three years. However, after rotating off the committee for at least one year, individuals may become a candidate in following elections. Individuals joining the committee by terms of less than three year are allowed to seek re-election. Initial terms are decided using the procedures in the remarks column.
