Long-term care insurance policy offered to eligible state employees

United of Omaha Life Insurance Company is now offering its Assured Solutions Plus policy to eligible State and University of Wisconsin Employees, Annuitants, and their family members. This voluntary purchase long term care insurance policy is offered at a group-discounted premium.

Training Opportunities: Overview of UW-Madison Accounting Processes

Throughout the year, Accounting Services will be conducting Business Topics Seminars on an “Overview of Accounting Processes at UW-Madison.” The next session will be conducted at 21 N. Park St. in Room 5045 on October 7th, from 8:30 am to 11:45 am.

Individuals may register for the session through the Office of Human Resource Development website at http://www.ohrd.wisc.edu/ohrdcatalogportal/Catalog/tabid/29/Default.aspx (Click on Business Services Topics, then Accounting Processes Overview).  If you are unable to attend the October 7th section, please feel free to register for one of three other dates available.

Watch out for tuition remission for NIH trainees

The Graduate School is asking accountants and department administrators to look carefully at their tuition bills if they have NIH trainees in their department. Trainees will never qualify for tuition remission, unless they are appointed in summer following a TA/RA/PA position in the spring. (more…)

Continuing order requisitions can now be processed

Please review the information carefully, because a number of dates and processes have changed with the Program Release implementation (for example, the date to enter new FY09 requisitions was moved from May 1 to May 12 to allow accurate funding edits and a new summer session transaction process).
