Sustainable Ag and Natural Resource Management CRSP proposals due Sept. 2

The Office of International Research, Education, and Development (OIRED) at Virginia Tech is pleased to release the attached Request for Applications (RFA) for Long-Term Research Activities (LTRAs) under SANREM CRSP Phase IV. The focus of the LTRA RFA is the development of conservation agriculture production systems to increase agricultural productivity in food insecure countries. LTRA applications are due September 2, 2009. Approximately $8,100,000 in awards will be made. (more…)

Dry Grain Pulses CRSP requests proposals

Proposals are being sought for the Dry Grain Pulses Collaborative Research Support Program (formerly the Bean/Cowpea CRSP). The Pulse CRSP contributes to economic growth and food and nutrition security through knowledge and technology generation that strengthens pulse (e.g., bean, cowpea, pigeon pea, etc.) value chains and enhances the capacity and sustainability of agriculture research institutions which serve pulse sectors in developing countries of Africa and Latin America.
