Exceeding your WiscMail email quota? Adjust your junk mail purge settings

Do you keep exceeding your WiscMail email quota? WiscMail and WiscMail Plus users can now adjust their purge settings for Junk Mail from 1– 99 days (default is 15 days). This is helpful for those users whose junk mail folder size of is causing their email quota to be exceeded. (more…)

CALS is surveying departments and centers about IT staffing, strategies and challenges

A letter has been sent to department chairs and selected center directors about a survey of information technology support and services in CALS departments and selected centers. Three teams of interviewers will be contacting units during the month of January. Their mission is to learn how each unit staffs and budgets for computer and networking support. (more…)

Please complete surveys on SSN usage

The UW-Madison Internal Audit Office recently sent an electronic survey on campus usage of social security numbers. A number of CALS administrative staff and others in the College were among the recipients. The survey deals with both physical and electronic storage of SSNs. Needless to say, how we use and store SSNs and other sensitive data is an important security issue. If you were one of the recipients, please complete and submit it. Revised ISIS authorization form

The ISIS authorization form has been revised and should be available shortly on the ISIS website (www.isis.wisc.edu). The form has been slightly reorganized and font size increased to make it easier to read and complete. (more…)

New UW/Microsoft contract covers

WiscMail upgrade breaks auto spellcheck

The WiscMail/WiscMail Plus web client upgrade was performed Oct. 31 to make it compatible with Internet Explorer 7. As a result, the automatic spell check feature on the web client no longer works. (more…)
