A pioneer farmer and stockman came to this country as a boy. He acquired a piece of land which by patient toil and skillful husbandry has been made into one of the finest farms in Kewaunee county. He took an early interest in bred-for-production livestock and in the use of the silo. His name is entitled to be listed among those who first saw the fruit raising possibilities of the Door Peninsula and established the trail orchard at Sturgeon Bay which has been a primary factor in the advance of this industry.
