A leading soil expert, Gary was one of the first to be concerned with soil erosion and storm run-off. He was an integral writer of the Stormwater Management Practice Manual, and developed tools to teach people state wide about improve stormwater management techniques. At the University, Gary has served on dozens of departmental, College, Cooperative Extension, and campus committees and worked with county, state and federal agencies on water-quality issues. An amazing and influential leader in the field, Gary has had a lasting impact on the college.
