International Assistance

The College extends beyond the state and nation to help poor people and improve environmental quality in the developing world and other countries with emerging economies. In the 1960s and 1970s the college focused on strengthening colleges of agriculture, with major projects in Brazil, Indonesia, and Nigeria. In the 1980s and 1990s the focus shifted to strengthening agricultural research and policy capabilities, with major projects in Bolivia, The Gambia, Zambia, and Tunisia with smaller projects in many other countries.
