The CALS News Service
The College's news service distributes
science reports to media, writes and distributes news releases about College
programs, faculty, staff and students, and promotes College events. Recent news releases are available online.
Contacting the media. We also maintain contacts with reporters and editors, and with other campus news services, including the UW-Madison News Service and the Cooperative Extension Information Office.
Contacting our experts. Our faculty includes some of the nation's top authorities on a variety of subjects related to biological sciences, agriculture, natural resources, food and nutrition and rural community issues. One of our jobs is to help people who have questions find the people with answers. For more information, see our "Help for News Media" page.
Mailing lists. We can provide labels, hard copy and electronic files of our mailing lists to faculty and staff. These lists include local, regional, state and national newspapers, magazine and trade press, science, education, industry and natural resources writers and editors; electronic media; county Extension personnel; and others.
Photos and biographical information. We maintain biographical files of current, retired and deceased CALS faculty members. Photos of faculty and staff are also available.
