College's international programs prepare our students for a global future
and help developing nations do a better job of managing their natural
resource base
CALS
faculty, staff and students learn and teach in dozens of countries on
every continent. They've done everything from collect wild potato species
in Bolivia and elms in China to designing a commodities market in the
Ukraine. At the same time, students from every corner of the Earth are
studying on the Madison campus, attracted by the College's international
reputation in so many fields. CALS seeks to improve Wisconsin's international
competitiveness through research and outreach on international trade,
collaboration with foreign research agencies, and international training
programs. CALS offers the nation's first Bachelor of Science in International
Agriculture and Natural Resource degree.
