NOTE: 2007 Dates To Be Announced

USDA/CSREES will require all applications to the National Research Initiative Competitive Grants Program for FY2007 to be submitted via Grants.gov. NIH requires all R03s, R21s, R21/R33s, R33s and R34s via Grants.gov, and they will require all R01s via Grants.gov for the February 2007 deadline. Other agencies are also beginning to require submission of applications via Grants.gov.

CALS Research Division is offering Grants.gov Training sessions over the next several months. These sessions will be held in the CALS computer laboratory (room 150 Animal Sciences Building). The location is limited to 20 workstations. Please contact Casey Hillmer at 2-2397 or clhillmer@cals.wisc.edu to register.

The sessions will focus on the following:

  • - how to access Grants.gov
  • - what does an application file in Pure Edge look like
  • - how do you work in Pure Edge and prepare a submission file
  • - preparing a USDA-NRI application
  • - preparing a NIH application
  • - what CALS can do to help

The session will be informal and flexible -- individuals should feel free to ask questions. Please share this opportunity with interested individuals -- department/center administrators, appropriate grant support staff, and principal investigators.

FYI -- If you have not previously attended one of the Grants.gov sessions offered by RSP, you may want to attend one of their sessions prior to this training. Click here. OR -- review the PowerPoint demos of the sessions available on RSP's website here.
