Proposal Development and Budget Building

This is a two part series that will focus on Proposal Development and budget building tools. The First session will focus on the basics of proposal development including finding and reading RFPs, interpreting regulations, filling out essential forms, determining effort and walking though the submission through campus and to the agency. The second session will focus entirely on budget building including applying appropriate titles and fringe rates, determining the correct indirect cost rate and base, judging allowable direct costs, distinguishing the difference between subcontracts and fee-for-service, finding and documenting cost share commitments and finding tools to help with this process.
