FFA members who are agriculture students in Wisconsin secondary schools are invited to participate in the 2008 State FFA Career Development Event managed by the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The competitive activities of this educational event will reflect some of the abilities needed in the successful production of good profitable livestock, livestock products and crops. Participants develop skills related to selecting good breeding stock for meat, milk, wool and egg production; selecting and managing crops; using machinery, managing the farm and in natural resource management.

The Wisconsin State FFA Career Development Events are planned so that those who win will be able to compete in similar events in national contests.

Announcement of Winners

With the increase in numbers of students participating in the Wisconsin State FFA Career Development Events, it has become impractical to attempt to get the results of all contest divisions in the mail the day of or even the day after the contest has been held. With the agreement of the State FFA Career Development Events Committee, the office of the Contest Manager will set no specific time for getting the results in the mail to instructors. Instead, the staff will simply make every effort to get the results to instructors as soon as all are reported in from each contest division Superintendent. A website listing results will be available at: http://www.cals.wisc.edu/students/ffa/Results.htm
