New Student Scholarship Application

Instructions

This online application is only for applicants to UW-Madison who plan to be enrolled in CALS for the 2008-09 academic year. There is a different process for Continuing Student applicants.

If you are an applicant to UW-Madison who plans to be enrolled in CALS, and you can't or don't wish to use this online application, you may use this form.

UW-Madison Campus ID

To complete this process, you must know your UW-Madison Campus ID. You received your Campus ID from the Office of Admissions when you applied for admission. If you don't know your Campus ID, please contact the Office of Admissions at (608) 262-3961.

By filling out this application, you are applying for scholarships described in "Scholarships in CALS, UW-Madison." You will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.

The scholarship award process in CALS is separate from the financial aid application process administered by the UW-Madison Office of Student Financial Services. Awards from CALS are reported to the Office of Student Financial Services and must be included in any financial aid package offered by that office. We encourage you to visit the Office of Student Financial Services web site for information on the UW-Madison financial aid process.

The criteria for allocating scholarships in CALS vary depending on the award. Criteria for selection may include: academic achievement, personal qualifications, financial need, career interests, major or program interest. The Student Development Committee selects the scholarship and award recipients.

This scholarship application may NOT be submitted in advance of your application to UW-Madison, but may be submitted before you have received an admission decision. We encourage you to apply for admission to UW-Madison as early as possible. All awards from CALS are contingent on your acceptance to UW-Madison and enrollment in a CALS program in fall 2008.

To ensure consideration of your application, it must be received by January 15, 2008.
Applications received after January 15, 2008 wil be considered if there are unallocated scholarship funds remaining after the initial allocation process.

Students selected for College awards will receive their funds in two installments. One-half will be disbursed at the beginning of each semester in the 2008-2009 academic year.

You must complete this application in one session. Please read the entire application and gather all the information you need before you begin filling it out.

Your application has not been submitted until you check the "I certify..." statement and click the submit button at the bottom of this page.
