You will have a Leadership Mentor who will discuss various aspects of leadership and the certificate with you, react to your plan for your future activities, and help you decide when your learning, and evidence of that learning, has met the certification standard. Your mentor will help you decide when to approach the Certificate Committee for certification.
Your Leadership Mentor will be a CALS faculty or staff member, and you will be assigned a mentor from a list of people who have volunteered to serve. If at some point during the process you decide that you want a different mentor, come to 116 Agriculture Hall and ask how to change. If there is a CALS faculty or staff person you would like to have as your mentor who is not on our list of volunteers, we will help you think through how to ask the potential mentor and will provide you with a resource which might make it easier to ask.
