Thank you for being involved during the past several years as faculty, staff, and students have been developing a Leadership Program in the College.
The last year has been productive—the College's Leadership Program Committee awarded the first student a CALS Leadership Certificate and the first cohort of students involved in a USDA leadership development grant began their work.
There continues to be broad consensus on the important leadership concepts, characteristics and skills that we should teach students. Similar agreement exists regarding the basic types of activities through which leadership can be learned (e.g., retreats, courses, workshops, mentoring relationships, among others).
