The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a very special place. Students feel at home in our small college with on average an undergraduate population of 2,200 students. Our students get personal attention from faculty and staff — every student meets regularly with a faculty advisor and we have one faculty member for every nine students.
Our students enjoy small classes, averaging 30 students, taught by some of the world's leading scientists and they get to do the real stuff! As a student you will be exposed to interesting, useful, hands-on applied learning experiences in labs and industry, on and off the campus.
The faculty, staff and students in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences are the problem-solvers of today and tomorrow. Discoveries made by our students and faculty have made a difference in your world. We discovered vitamins A and B as well as blood thinners and learned how to add vitamin D to food and add iodine to salt among other things too numerous to list here.
