Specialty Program

Farm Mechanics

Farm and Industry Short Course students now have the option of specializing in Farm Mechanics, and earning a certificate that indicates this specialty. It is a one-year program beyond whatever the student may have experienced in vocational agriculture classes. The specialty requires that students earn a total of at least 20 credits in the Farm and Industry Short Course as specified below. Students must take the required courses for the specialty although some choices are allowed. This specialty is designed for the student planning to work closely with the farm equipment industry or one who plans to be a farm mechanic primarily responsible for the farm equipment maintenance.
