Specialty Program

Meat Animal

Farm and Industry Short Course students now have the option of specializing in Meat Animals, and earning a certificate that indicates this specialty. It is a one-year program beyond whatever the student may have experienced in vocational agriculture classes. The specialty requires that students earn a total of at least 20 credits in the Farm and Industry Short Course as specified below. Students must take the required courses for the specialty although some choices are allowed. This specialty is intended to prepare students for a livestock farming career or for work as a livestock herdsperson for other farm operators or for other livestock related jobs.
