Sarah Pfatteicher, Ph.D.
Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
Dean Pfatteicher oversees the undergraduate student services in CALS, including curriculum assessment, international programs, career services and internships, scholarships and financial aid. She manages the Office of Undergraduate Programs and Services and the Farm and Industry Short Course program. She is a Research Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and an active member of the Holtz Center for Science and Technology Studies as well as an Honorary Fellow in the Department of History of Science.
Tom Browne
Assistant Dean for Minority Affairs
Dean Browne provides leadership in connecting students to the various resources in the College and on campus and works with faculty advisors to assist in the assessment of needs for students of color. He also advises the Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) student organization.
John Klatt, Ph.D.
Assistant Dean for Student Development
Dean Klatt leads the College's undergraduate student development initiatives including career services, co-curricular opportunities, and academic advising. He provides overall management of the vision and direction for CALS Career Services and the CALS Honors Program and serves as a key advising liaison to the 19 academic departments in the College and to partner units across campus.
Jessie Potterton
Director of Prospective Student Services
Potterton is in charge of developing, coordinating and implementing prospective student outreach activities with CALS academic departments, supervising the CALS Ambassadors program and providing advising support for current CALS undergraduate students, in addition to being the director of the associate SOAR advisors.
Maria McGinnis
CALS Career Services
McGinnis provides the overall leadership, direction and coordination for the delivery of services in all phases of on-campus recruiting. She develops program policies that maximize employment opportunities for students and alumni as well as serve the hiring needs of employers. McGinnis was recognized as a finalist for being the Ag. Woman of the Year.
Susan Gisler
Senior Student Status Examiner
Gisler works with DARS questions, CALS final graduation checks and curriculum sheet questions for students. She is a part of the Scholastic Policies and Actions Committee and winner of the Student Personnel Association Award.
Karen Martin
Director of Scholarships
Martin advises in career services and scholarship opportunities and staffs the college's Curriculum Committee.
Dan Barnish
TAS Advisor
Dan provides academic and personal guidance to undergraduates through the CALS Transitional Advising Service (TAS). In addition to being the academic advising home for undeclared students within CALS, TAS meets with exploring students from across campus and implements a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness of CALS opportunities and smoothing students' transitions into and within the College.
Molly (Margaret) Reinhard
TAS Advisor
Molly provides academic and personal guidance to undergraduates through the CALS Transitional Advising Service (TAS). In addition to being the academic advising home for undeclared students within CALS, TAS meets with exploring students from across campus and implements a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness of CALS opportunities and smoothing students' transitions into and within the College.
