The Wisconsin Agricultural Experiment Station administers the award and management of federal formula grants in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UW Madison.
Hatch formula grants and Hatch Multi-State formula grants support a wide range of research. They particularly focus on the establishment and maintenance of a permanent and effective agricultural industry in the United States, a goal that is consistent with the Hatch Act and CSREES goal statements. Animal Health research projects relate specifically to disease of food animals and/or horses and the McIntire-Stennis formula grant supports forestry research.
