Capital Exercise
The Wisconsin Agricultural Station is funding a Hatch and McIntire-Stennis capital exercise primarily to fund requests for major items used to support these research programs.
Call for Proposals
Deadlines
- January 6, 2012: Deadline for proposals
- January 20, 2012: Notification of items approved for purchase
- February 17, 2012: Requisitions for funded items due (if requisitions are not received by this deadline, funding may not be available)
Multiple-user Equipment
Multiple-user equipment benefitting several investigators will receive priority consideration. For multiple-user equipment, identify faculty users who have Hatch or McIntire-Stennis projects and list source of matching funds that are available to help fund the requests.
Eligibility
Projects terminating in the fiscal year or projects beginning the next fiscal year are not eligible for this exercise.
Policies on Equipment Requests
- No office equipment can be purchased in this exercise.
- Requests for research computers will receive low priority.
- Equipment items costing less than $5,000 will be considered even though these fall in the "Supplies and Expenses" category as defined by campus.
Requirements
- Requests must directly benefit Hatch or McIntire-Stennis project research.
- A 50% match is required. Other 142 projects cannot be used as the 50% match.
