Volunteers are needed to help evaluate vegetables and flowers. Do you like fresh vegetables and fruits, than join us to evaluate our new collection of wine grapes, cover crops, and vegetables. Field days offer even more volunteer opportunities. Volunteers assist with or develop educational-outreach programs for children and adults. We have two field days each year and need 25 to 30 volunteers each day, or the days preceding the activity.

Do you just like to garden? Volunteers help us plant, weed and maintain all plots. We have an Adopt a Plot program. Individuals visit the garden and chose which plot they wish to adopt and then care for the plot/garden all summer. They also present educational programs at our field days, if they wish, on the crops they have adopted.
Wish to stay indoors? We have opportunities for those individuals that may not be able to stand the hot summer weather in the garden. We are very open to working with each volunteer's schedule.
For volunteer opportunities or garden questions, please contact Judy Reith-Rozelle jreithrozell@wisc.edu or Brian Emerson bemerson@wisc.edu .
Office hours 8am- 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Gardens are open and free to the public dawn to dusk, seven days a week. Self guided tour books are available at the entrance to the garden for a small donation.
