Others working in technology transfer

"UW-Madison is a world leader in technology transfer, the commercialization of new ideas, products and processes based on research. In its broadest sense, technology transfer also includes educating students who take their knowledge and skills into the workforce. Transferring technology ensures that research of our faculty, staff and students will benefit society. For example, using the latest research to develop new drugs and therapies for diseases like osteoporosis and cancer improves the lives of millions of people. We are all fortunate that so many hard-working and talented people at UW-Madison are sharing their research with the world."
Virginia S. Hinshaw,
Dean of the Graduate School and Senior Research Officer
