Updating the Wisconsin IdeaThe Wisconsin Idea is the philosophical framework for the university's partnership with the state that began 150 years ago. To help implement the Chancellor's vision statement on Updating the Wisconsin Idea, WFSP is cooperating with UW-Madison's Outreach Development Office to encourage faculty and staff to participate in partnerships with the community. For each of the next four years, this partnership will produce three (four-page) inserts for the official campus weekly newspaper that is mailed to all faculty and staff. Articles will focus on activities that involve partnerships between the university and the community. The purpose is to increase the prominence of these activities on campus, to help faculty and staff become involved in ongoing activities, and to stimulate development of new partnerships.
